Kindergarten visit: smashing success

When we first got to the school, Eddie was pretty nervous. It turns out that on Wednesdays the 5th graders get to eat lunch in the Kindergarten yard while the Kinders are elsewhere. Eddie took one look at what he thought was a group of his gargantuan future classmates and almost swallowed his tongue! By the time the classroom tour started he was fine, but it was touch and go at the beginning.

He also got a kick out of me interviewing him on his school visit, and I hope you enjoy the video as well:

    Cutie!

What kind of a camera are you using? I've been thinking of getting one but I don't even know where to start and whatever you're using seems to have good sound and picture quality.

My youngest is just finishing up her year at Kindergarten. I'm amazed by the difference between yours whose just starting and mine whose now finishing. What a difference a year makes! Hope he loves it as much as mine did. Kindergarten–the best year of school, ever!

Jen, it's a sony hdr-sr10 and it's great, but I actually wish the sound were better. Then I wouldn't have had to caption parts of this video. I'm going to poke around the settings and see if I can make it more 'directional.' I'll be posting a review of the camera pretty soon too.

I love that. My boy (who is starting "grade K" as he calls it, in the fall too) would have had the same review, I'm sure. It comes down to what chair you sat on and playtime.
