Art and Politics. I know what I like.
I swear I will try to keep this from becoming "The Looky-Looky What Mikey-Mikey Made in Kindergarten Blog" but I just love this painting of Martin Luther King Jr. that he brought home yesterday. Proud Mama is my name.

(BTW, the white blip at the bottom is where Mike wrote his non-blog-name. Y'all know I didn't really name my boys after the kids on My Three Sons, right? :)

And by the way, based on my informal poll of the people jumping around on corners carrying placards, Obama will take California today. I saw a couple of Hillaryians, but tons of Obamans. Very scientific, I know, but there you have it: Plain Jane Mom's first political prediction.

I love MLK's rainbow tie.
I share the wicked awesome homework too. Some of it is funny or just darn good.
I think that is a most excellent likeness, especially for a Kindergartner!!
On the other side of Grant & El Camino.. the HRC camp was outnumbering Obama 2to1. But hey … I passed you today on that same corner. That is where my kids go to preschool! SOOO, if you are stuck without someone to watch your kids you can have a complete stranger (who is not a serial killer - but you would have to take my word for it) watch your boys when it's time for that surgery. I know it's an empty offer, since I would never let a random blog commenter do that for me… however, someday I am sure we will bump into each other for real, so be sure to say hi!
I would definitely frame that artwork. It is beautiful.
At first I thought it was a painting of Obama. But MLK makes more sense. Your boy is very talented.
I hope you're right with your predictions.
Love the painting! You have every right to be proud, mama!
I actually did NOT know the boys names were blog names…how stupid am I???
I think that picture is amazing! I would frame it for sure. I frame painting my kids have done and hang them right in the living room and I've had people think they were done by professionals.
Bossy is in love with that MLK painting. Most excellent.
That is awesome. I agree, frame it!
I think it is TOTALLY brag worthy, E.

Oh, The Joys's last blog post..I Don't Hang Out with Your Husband
I too love the colours in the rainbow tie. Good work.
jen's latest post: I went, I spoke, I conquered
A few years ago, my nephew learned about King in school. "He was a good man. Before, black people couldn't ride buses, but then he changed the rules, so it was fair. And they had to walk everywhere. And he saved them, he got on the bus, and it was on FIRE."
(I can't wait to see that in a documentary.)
