Haven’t disappeared, just became anti-social and unibomberish

Here’s the weirdest symptom I have after the laser eye surgery: no desire to read blogs or to post! Good lord, that should have been noted somewhere in all the papers I signed.

I only hopped online this morning to see if Mrs. Flinger and baby are out of the NICU and home. The answer is yes — fantastic!!! — but I’m putting the laptop away now.

I just want to be in a dark room with my sunglasses on. So I’m still here, I’ve just become a hermit. Go share Mrs. F’s happy day, and I’ll be back later.

It took months after the laser eye surgery before I was able to comfortably surf the net again.

    Sunglasses are your friend.

I hope you’re recovering well. I can’t believe they don’t put the “no blogs” in the fine print. I’ll be sure to make note of that before I ever get it. :-)

Thank you so much for all your support. Your comment “Remember, 2 steps forward and 1 step back is still progress in the NICU” kept jumping in my head when they’d have to re-do a step. I read it just before running back to the NICU one day and kept repeating it to Mr. Flinger and myself all day. It was exactly what we needed to hear. So thank you.

Wow! Maybe the blogreading thing is in the fine print? Hope it’s a short term side effect. :)

Okay, I’m seriously hoping this isn’t a permanent side effect. What would I do without my GRIT?!

Enjoy your peaceful time behind the shades.
