Comforting: seeing the fire truck that is always parked in front of our local grocery store.
Disquieting: seeing the police car haphazardly ‘parked’ in front of Target and having to squeeze past an arrest in progress on the way to search for elusive size 6 Power Ranger underwear.
And no, it is not just because I think firemen are hot.

What is it with Target lately? It seems like all the crime on the news around here happens around a Target.
Yeah, one time going into CVS, this guy was busted right at the door for stealing Sudafed for making drugs. I was like, “Whoa!”
Wow, my Target suddenly feels really boring. Then again, they’re building one in my incredibly urban DC neighborhood, so perhaps we’ll have some excitement there.
At the CVS down the street they keep all of the liquid soap locked up. Apparently the criminals can’t keep their hands off of the Oil of Olay body washes.
