Where American Idol shames me into a horrible admission

TiVo and I finally watched Tuesday’s American Idol last night, and I had a horrible realization. Sanjaya was not the worst performer this week.

I know, I know… He’s really bad. BUT I thought he did a fine job with, of all things, a Kinks song. Who would have thought that was something he could pull off?

Now, I’m definitely not saying he should still be a contender. But if he gets voted off next week (fingers crossed) he can feel great about having had one performance that was not a complete embarrassment.

Sanjaya needs to go…worst or not, he just needs to go. It’s driving me crazy to see him lasting week after week. Did you really think Stephanie needed to go over Sanjaya? Just curious?

It’s hard for me to get worked up about who does and does not get kicked off at this point. Neither Stephanie nor Sanjaya deserves to win, so it just isn’t that critical right now.
