Oh my God, I have that exact SAME DIARY!!! The blue silk one with the red leatherette binding, and the asian patterns printed on the pages!

Yours is much more colorful than mine though. (I kept mine in 11th grade.)

I threw my early journals out, but I have the highschool ones which are almost more painful.

I still use those little cheap notebooks like that one!

You’re right about the kickin’ and screamin’ part, but the memories - ahh, the memories!!! My mother threw away all of my journals…that’s probably why I’m in bad need of therapy!!

I don’t remember age 11 very well but I started my diary when I was 13. I still have and keep the journal almost 50 years later. This sounds very hokey but I included the journal in my will (who gets it, who can read it and how many years after I die). And no, it does not go to my only grown child!
