More later after I get some sleep, but it went great

Chip is pissed as hell that he's got this freaking huge thing taped over his eye, but with a dose of Benadryl he becomes less concerned about it ;) The surgery lasted about 1.5 hours and he was in recovery for 2 hours.
And by "in recovery" I mean "screaming and writhing." That kid is STRONG. He really didn't enjoy waking up from anesthesia, but that's apparently the way it goes for the toddler set.
So like I say, more later when I'm coherent (LONG day), but everything went as it should. So yay Chip!

Yay! I'm glad everything went well. I don't like coming out of anesthesia, either. They didn't intubate him, did they?
Thanks for the book!
So glad to hear all is well!
Ugh. I can only imagine what my son would do if he woke up in that situation.
Glad his surgery went well!
two of my children had blocked tear ducts from birth. the first one's popped under massage by the opthamologist the day before his scheduled O.R. The second had to have the procedure. I remember all the hand-wringing beforehand and the feeling of "well, what was THAT about?" as soon as he woke up. So glad it went well for Chip.
I don't get by here very often, but everytime I do I am staggered by how much you have going on. Unlike me, you seem to actually know what you are doing with your page. I love the post by post blogroll. I hate playing politics with my own links. This seems like a good way to link to the stuff you actually read and love without feeling like its grade one and you promised the girl in the seat next to you to be best friends forever.
best,
k
I'm relieved for you that it is over. Now get some rest!
I'm glad things went well! Yay Chip indeed!

Yay! Glad all is well, and here's to a speedy toddler recovery!
Glad to hear it went well.
I'm foul after I come out of that fake sleep. And I have a nasty taste in my mouth, and I itch and feel like I generally want to sleep as they keep waking me up the bastards!
So yeah, add in being a little kid, and having someone mess with my eye, I'd be ready for the smackdown!
Poor little dude…
You all are so nice, and I can't believe it took until today for me to respond! This has been an, um, interesting week. Rather busy. Good thing we're going into a nice, calm season next. Oh wait…

Blogger Holiday Cookie Party! Yay! I love bloggers, holidays, cookies, and parties. What could be better than this?
"Parents who choose a stroller that seats their baby facing away from them could risk long-term development problems in their children" -- I call BULLSHIT. Why is this being made an issue?
Need a new sewing machine? Polliwogged is giving away two Singer Curvys.
Holy crap.
Oh Christina, there's no shame at all. And good for you for deciding to fight for your marriage.
OK, we're all meeting Laura at pickup today and we're going to kick ass and take names.
Amen.
Loralee is at the hospital with a major kidney infection. Hustle over and tell her something funny.
Perfect! I couldn't have said it better myself.
YAY Simone!!
Sounds heavenly, but I'm left wondering what in the world is a "Teutonic spank?"
Congrats! (And I totally better be in that 20 or I'm going to cut you at BlogHer!)
