Chip goes from 1-10 and doesn't skip numbers. But his oldest brother used to skip many numbers. I think Chip has learned it so well because he sees Mike and Robbie doing it all the time.

The older boys did the "two two two" thing as well, but Chip really just points at each item and says "one, two, three.." -- he rarely ends up at the right number because he counts things more than once ;)

I'd say that each of them has learned numbers in a different way. And you're right -- toddlers are fascinating!

Whee boy -- looks like you've got some lively boys over there!

I'm curious, how does Chip count? Does he have all his numbers yet, or just certain ones, or does he point to each separate item and say a single word over and over? Two year olds are so variable, and so fascinating. Mine has been counting by pointing and saying, "two, two, two" for several months, and has just picked up the numbers 2, 4, 6, 9, and 10. Just those, though. Toddlers amaze me every day!
