We took Chip to a specialist today and learned a lot about his cataract. The short version is that he's getting on the surgery calendar for November or December. They're going to remove the cataract and put in a new lens.

Yowza!

It was a long, long appointment and if it weren't for flipping NaBloPoMo I'd just skip posting today and use my remaining brain cells staring at the wall and drooling!

What was Target thinking when they decided to make toddler jeans in that nasty permanently-dirty style?

Queen of the Bad Mommies is in a real bind… Head over and help a sister out!

UPDATED TO ADD: Well looky there, this was my 100th post!

Wow, that is scary about the surgery, but good that they can do it soon and it be over with. Sending good thoughts ya'lls way.

I agree about the Target jeans. I had to splurge and go to Carters this year, wasn't about to do that. Is it not bad enough that the girly stuff is so slutty, now the boys have to look like thugs?

And their regular jeans — the ones they put out on the tables — all have SNAPS AND ZIPPERS. Even the 6 month sizes!

They need to fire their focus group. None of my kids could handle zippers now. I'd be washing pee-soaked jeans every hour!

Thanks Mama, for getting out the word on my dilemma. Who knew sneakers could go in the washing machine? Not me, that's for sure.

Good luck with the surgery-I'll be thinking about your family.

And my problem with Target's clothes is all the "cute" t-shirts with sayings on them. Because I want the world to know that I have a cynical, sarcastic two-year-old. But I feel you on the snaps and zippers-that's why we're all about Hanes sweat pants in this house.
