It's such a great story. The best part of it are all the do-gooders shouting about the welfare of the child and that he should have stayed in Africa where his 'roots' are. I especially love all the outraged bellowing about his psychological welfare being at risk because he'll be brought up outside his culture. Erm, excuse me. The poor kid lived in an orphanage because his father (who, by the way, is delighted that his son is being whisked off by an astoundingly rich pop star) can't afford to feed him. If he stayed where he was he would have a life expectancy of around 36 years old, not much chance of an education and would count himself lucky to have a decent meal every day. Culture and starvation v. every chance in life? I know what I'd choose for my child. I love the whole saga. It’s such a great story.
